From the Founder

It's been way too long since I've reached out to say I miss y'all would be an understatement.  For the past few years I've been dealing with deception, divorce, destruction, and depression.  All things I tried to avoid by keeping busy and quiet.  But when my kids and I survive a hundred-year-old oak tree falling on our house in the middle of the night, my whole life was forced to change.  Everything I'd bought and built was gone in an instant and everyday that passed after 8/16/2025 showed me difference between placement and purpose.

I nearly gave up on IAS Games after going through the wreckage of my home to salvage what we could and realizing all my inventory was ruined.  Every game, every piece of equipment, every prototype, every office supply down to the new stack of shipping labels delivered the day before. I couldn't figure out where we were going to live, let alone how to bring myself to ever make games or promote what I'd done again and after everything I'd been through... I didn't want to.  Be clear, I love what I do. I love why I do what I do even more, but I was angry, afraid, and exhausted. I’d developed severe PTSD prior to this already and felt like I'd been put in another unfair position designed to shrink myself, abandon hope, and eventually disappear altogether.

Some know that since June 2019, I've danced daily live on my social media to keep myself accountable to do one thing every day that makes me happy. It's my personal protest to live even when I feel like I shouldn't... or won't... or can't. It's when I feel the most free and I promised myself to dance as long as I was able to.    So even after losing everything the night before, I brought myself to dance because we made it out alive and keep going. That single daily act in the midst of all the uncertainty ahead brought more appreciation for the Black people who, time and time again, grant themselves time to celebrate one more day.

Since you're reading this now, you know I haven't given up on my dream or the mission of In All Series-Ness. I decided to take time for healing to continue being the change I want to see as well as create experiences that will add to the collective movement of Black joy and liberation. I've gone back to the drawing board to apply many lessons learned and bring ideas I've been hiding or avoiding to the forefront. It's true when they say you can't take it with you and I have so much love to share through my art and talents before I'm done.

I ask that you be patient with me while I continue to rebuild my life, prioritize mental wellness, and plant new seeds to grow. I don’t have much right now and it's more than a lot on me still. Things with IAS Games will take time to come through. But as I've coined myself saying, if you want it done fast you have go where you must, but if you want it done well, come to me.

Warmest regards,
